Easy Holiday Dinner Rolls

Is there such a thing, to make easy holiday dinner rolls? There is always so much to make and prep for the holidays. Which is why buying them pre-baked makes life easier. Here is how I made them taste homemade.

What Kind of Bread?

There so many different breads you can buy, from plain, Hawaiian and even French rolls. I went for the fancier kind, if that’s even a thing and went for the French dinner rolls. They came in a package of 6 rolls. They were such a hit this Thanksgiving. I should have gotten a dozen rolls! Now I know for Christmas ?.

You can always ask the bakery at your local supermarket if they have any pre-baked rolls. They will give you instructions on how long to bake them, as well.

Taste

I didn’t want to make plain dinner rolls. I wanted to add some flavors. There’s no rolling out dough, why not take the time to make the rolls extra yummy?

You Will Need:

  • 6 Pre-baked French Dinner rolls
  • Oven proof pan or dish, such as, a skillet
  • Basting brush
  • 1 tsp of Dried cilantro
  • 2 tbsp of Unsalted Butter, melted
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Pinch Pepper
  • 1 tsp of fresh chives, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp of fresh parmesan cheese, shredded

Quick Prep

Preheat oven, per package instructions. Mine was set to 400 degrees. While the oven preheats, take a small dish and mix together all the ingredients listed above. Put your rolls in a skillet or dish. This method is cleaner than using a flat sheet pan to bake because they will stay in place neatly, when brushing the buttery sauce on the dinner rolls. Take a basting brush and brush some of the butter mixture on each roll. Bake for 12 minutes, or to what your package instructions say.

Look at these buttery, cheesy and tasty French rolls! My family really loved them. They were oven fresh, crispy on the outside and so nice and soft on the inside!

I honestly don’t make rolls often but I wanted something simple to add to my sides this year. It was a hit, which was not something I expected! Go ahead and play around with your favorite flavors and try it on these rolls for your next holiday gathering. Yum!
