Small Gift Ideas for Teachers, Neighbors, Etc.

With Christmas around the corner, it’s time to start shopping, if you haven’t already. My kids and husband’s list already done. Everyone else, not so much. There is always someone that comes to mind for the holidays. Whether it’s your child’s bus driver, your neighbor, teachers or even babysitter! Here are small gift ideas for teachers, neighbors, etc. (and everyone in between)!

Teachers

Usually, at the elementary level, there is a parent coordinator in each classroom that will ask for around $10 to purchase a class gift. However, sometimes there isn’t a parent coordinator or someone who wants to take that on. Or you have a special teacher, such as the reading specialist or art teacher, you would like to gift to. It can become overwhelming buying a ton of gifts. It does add up! Spending between $5-10 is perfectly fine.

Bus Drivers, Neighbors, Etc.

Same goes for everyone else on your list of small things to gift. You may not know the person well, but the bus driver who brings your child to and from school safely, deserves a little something! Maybe your neighbor lets you borrow sugar or small things you may need in a pinch! Or your neighbor is just very kind, especially to your children!

Small Gift Ideas

  • chapstick, lotion and hand sanitizer
  • cozy socks
  • $5-10 gift card to a coffee shop or quick breakfast
  • gloves
  • scarf
  • hat
  • sweets- such as cookies or bark
  • Jam and crackers
  • A fun flavored maple syrup
  • Marinades (this was a hit, last year!)

Shop on a Budget

Don’t feel you need to spend a ton on each person. After all, it’s the thought that counts. Buy what you can. Sometimes you find better deals on small items shopping in store. I love online shopping but small gifts are great to buy in store.

Happy Shopping!
