Winter is here and we are more vulnerable to getting sick. Especially being pregnant. It is super important to eat as healthy as you can. Besides its good for your body and growing baby! You can even incorporate your favorite pregnancy foods into these snacks!

Shrimp, Avocado & Cucumbers

I found something similar on pinterest and decided to make this. I used blackened seasoning for the shrimp and cooked it for a few minutes. I mashed an avocado and seasoned it with salt and pepper. Lastly, add a small dollop of mashed avocado to sliced cucumbers, add a shrimp and serve! This ended up being dinner for me one night. Light but still filling. This also makes the perfect appetizer!

Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies

With this pregnancy I have been interested in savory foods vs sweets but I still enjoy a nice cookie once in a while. Besides, my kids love these cookies and they are healthy! With only 5 ingredients, you can’t go wrong. You may already have the ingredients! Oats, ripe bananas, cinnamon, peanut butter and chocolate chips is all this recipe consists of!

Smoothies

Have a smoothie for breakfast or for a quick snack. You get multiple vitamins in one drink! This is a great way to sneak in vegetables and fruit you may not normally eat to boost your immunity this winter. I personally don’t add vegetables to most of my smoothies because I eat a ton of vegetables throughout the day!

Kiwi and almonds are really good boost immunity foods to eat! I make all my smoothies with almond milk and my kiwi recipe is another delicious smoothie full of vitamin C!

Pregnancy Snacks

There are plenty of snacks you can make without eating all the processed stuff. You want to make sure you are still making healthy decisions. The first trimester is the hardest for most of us, due to morning sickness. But after that you can focus on eating better foods!

To a healthy pregnancy!
