What Are Some Third Trimester Pregnancy Symptoms?
You may be wondering what are some third trimester pregnancy symptoms. This pregnancy has gone by so fast for me. I remember my first trimester and second trimester. I can’t believe my baby girl is almost here!
I always say the second trimester is the best because nausea is gone (for most) and people can tell your pregnant and not just bloated! You also feel way more energetic during your second trimester.
Once third trimester comes around, you go downhill again.
You May Feel
Numbing hands and arms, especially at nighttime. The minute I turn to ONE side, my arms and hands get numb immediately. Doesn’t matter what side. I end up shaking my hands but it really doesn’t work. Which means…
Lack of sleep. It’s super hard to sleep with a huge, heavy bowling ball. If I have to get up then I have to hold my stomach because it feels like my stomach is hanging and it is super uncomfortable!
Which then turns to…
Frequent bathroom breaks. It only gets worse as you get closer to your due date. Again, nighttime is always worse. I am not sure why. But I immediately have to go minutes after going. And I will say, it is a full bladder the second time around, as well! Baby is pushing and getting heavy!
Shortness of Breath
With this pregnancy shortness of breath is more frequent than with my last pregnancy. Probably because I am busy with a toddler. Walking down the stairs, folding the laundry and even doing the dishes are just a few things that gives me shortness of breath.
Hunger
If you thought you had cravings, we’ll wait until extra hunger kicks in! I can eat FULL meals that I would not normally eat pre-pregnancy. In general I eat frequently but this is way more! The other day I had a grilled cheese and a bowl of cereal with fruit. A little too much I’d say!
More Third Trimester Symptoms
As you get closer to your due date…
- Extra thick discharge
- More frequent Braxton Hicks – not painful but uncomfortable
- Swollen hands and feet
- Tired more often
- Sleepy
- Heartburn
- Cervix pressure
- Clumsy
- Dreaming more often
- Constipation
Take it Easy
Don’t over do it. If you have to clean one room, do dishes later, then do that. I find myself getting tired very easily and so it is important to take breaks and listen to your body. Baby will arrive in no time. Therefore, it is important to get rest and take breaks when your body tells you!
