Whole Foods Provencal Blend with Basil & Garlic Sauce Vegetable Review

Blog #49:

Frozen meals…I don’t do frozen meals with the exception of Digiornio’s pizza once in a big blue.  As you already know, I make homemade meals everyday.  However, these prepared vegetables from Whole Foods was something I had to taste.  The bag is 12oz enough for one person as a main meal or serves 2 adults and 2 children as a SMALL side. Its cost $4.99 at whole foods.  I had it today for lunch with a handful of spinach and it was to die for!

You can find the Provencal Blend with Basil & Garlic Sauce vegetables in the freezer aisle.  This vegetable packet can be prepared in the microwave as the bag is steam-able or you can heat it up in a pan for about 6 minutes.

There is no need to add anything to this including water or oil!  Just steam in microwave or throw into a pan until cooked.  Perfect when you don’t want to cook or are in a rush.  These are pretty good to take to work. Freshly cooked!

I will be trying this again with pasta.  Just a drizzle of olive oil and splash of lemon topped with these vegetables sounds amazing!  You do not need to add cheese as the seasonings are there but not overpowering.  It tastes homemade with so much flavor.  The pesto is nice and light and the vegetables are not greasy.  Sometimes frozen vegetables can get soggy once cooked but these vegetables are perfect!

The only con is I wish it was a larger bag for more servings!  You won’t be disappointed.  Let me know if you’ve tried it.

Enjoy!
