3 Ways to Get Into The Halloween Spirit
Some years we are more or less into certain holidays. I think we were all pretty not much into anything last year because of COVID. But even though the pandemic is here to stay for sometime, or so it seems, this year I am definitely more into halloween. Here are 3 ways to get into the Halloween Spirit!
Watch Movies
Watch movies, of course! I am definitely more into the family halloween movies, like Hocus Pocus and Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire. I love watching the 31 Nights of Halloween movies on the Freeform channel! But of course, we watch scary movies at home too, since my husband and oldest son love watching Halloween. The new movie comes out soon. I am assuming this will be the last one and they will really get Michael Myers, this time around!
I also love watching the Halloween Baking Championship show on HGTV. Good Inspiration on flavors and decorations! This definitely gets me into the halloween spirit!
Halloween Crafts
I enjoy making crafts and it is even more fun with your kids! Most of us already have the supplies at home!
- construction paper
- glue
- scissors
- markers/crayons
- stickers!
Bake!
Holidays are the best excuse to bake! Every year my family and make spider cookies. It’s been a tradition for as long as I can remember. My kids make sure I don’t forget!
- make your favorite cookies
- have a decorating contest ( use cupcakes or cut a cake into a few squares, so everyone has a nice slice to work with)
- make healthier treats that are just as fun!
- for a more adult treat, I always make my Easy Pumpkin Spice Poke Cake. Beyond mouthwatering!
What are your favorite halloween traditions?
Happy Halloween! ?
I’m at the movies phase right now and I’ll be baking soon which is exciting! I just watched Hocus Pocus a few days ago and we watched The Addams Family yesterday.
