How to Make the Perfect Acai Bowl at Home

Acai bowls have been around for quite some time. I first heard of them from my husband. He is always trying out new things when on the go. I usually take a snack with me while I am out and wait to come home to eat! Unless I have plans to eat out in advance I don’t really just go grab a bite to eat. Anyway, I have perfected making acai at home! Here are some tips on how to make the perfect acai bowl, at home!

Acai is…

By now you may already know what acai is since it has been around for quite some time now. Acai is a fruit to make things simple. Make an acai bowl and it is essentially a smoothie in a bowl. I didn’t understand the point of it, in the beginning but an acai bowl is a lot more filling than having a smoothie for breakfast.

If you do not use frozen fruits to blend with the acai packet and use too much almond milk, it will become soupy. Although, I don’t mind in the winter having a more soupy acai bowl since it isn’t cold. But now that it’s warmer out, a nice cold bowl is definitely a must!

Blending

When blending your acai packet use the same frozen fruits and same fresh fruits to get a great tasting bowl. If you decide to add frozen peaches add fresh peaches to your bowl. Make it match! Also make sure to add half a banana to the blender and use the other half to slice as part of your toppings. Frozen bananas work even better.

Favorite Toppings

Some of my favorite toppings are:
