What is a Good Fourth of July Meal Idea?
Every Fourth of July I always think of something to make that is red, white and blue. A google search always pops up with cake or jello desserts. Of course there are other desserts but nothing really catches my eye. What is a good Fourth of July Meal Idea?
Main Meal
Anything on the grill makes the Fourth of July epic. Burgers and dogs are the classics. I don’t have burgers often. And I honestly have hot dogs once or twice a year, if that. And so I really enjoy a nice hot dog! Dress your burger and hot dogs with different toppings for a twist.
Sides
Have a side salad or sweet potato fries for a healthier side. There are many options! Try:
- Easy Red Beet Salad
- Corn, Kale and Tomato Salad Served With Salmon
- Rainbow Roasted Vegetable Salad
- Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Watermelon Salad
Dessert
This Berry chocolate bark definitely screams “Happy 4th!” Between the frozen blue and red berries and the drizzle of almond butter that looks like fireworks, you got yourself a Fourth of July dessert! I use 88% dark chocolate for this bark. It’s a healthier bark and keeps you fresh with the frozen berries! Of course, you can use your favorite chocolate. White chocolate would work as well! Try making a yogurt bark if your not a chocolate fan. Yogurt drops are also fun, especially for little ones!
Drinks
Fruity drinks, such as watermelon and lime or pineapple kiwi juice are refreshing drinks to have. While pregnant with my daughter I craved these homemade juices! Or start your day off with a smoothie full of antioxidants!
Do you go all out for the fourth of July or do you keep your meals for the day simple?
Happy 4th!
Oooohhhh! Your PHOTOS!! 🙂 So lovely!
Thank you so much! ?
I hope you had a great 4th of July yesterday! This burger looks EPIC! And I am definitely making that berry chocolate bark this week!
I hope you had a great 4th as well! We grilled but it was an early night for me. Baby Summer is 6 weeks old. The fireworks would have been too much for her. Did you go see the fireworks? And enjoy the bark!
