Teaching my kids gratitude is very important to me. It starts from a very early age. In today's world, I feel it is even more important to teach children gratitude. Social media influences kids even more and can teach them to be someone they aren't. Here is how I am teaching my kids gratitude.
Kids can be picky. I am lucky my kids are not picky and eat everything I make. However, there are days I make certain meals for my husband and I. There are meals that I know they may not be interested in and I don't feel like making extra food for no reason. There are also times when we order sushi or something the kids don't eat. I will say my oldest likes sushi but not all 3 kids do yet. Therefore, I may make something for the kids instead of ordering a bunch of different meals. I too enjoy these kid friendly meals. Here are 5 kid friendly meals to make any day of the week!
It is important to keep your toddler active, busy and learning! There are many gymnastics benefits for toddlers because you get to bond with your child, but also teach your little one social skills. This is super beneficial for my son and probably many young children during this pandemic. My son is super attached to me and scared of everyone except for everyone in my home, which includes, his 2 brothers, my husband and myself. There is a new instructor in training in his swim class, so these last 2 weeks he hasn't been too comfortable. It takes him longer to warm up to a male vs female. Must be the deep voice!
Do you struggle to find everyday learning activities to do with your toddler? I admit, sometimes I do, as I want to play and teach my toddler what he should be doing now, for his milestones. Playtime, of any form is super important but it's nice to implement learning activities for their age. This helps advance their skills. A while ago I found the playfully app. (Not Sponsored). This app is geared for children ages 0-3 months. It lists fun and quick activities to play with your child, based on age. There is a paid version but I use the free one and it still provides plenty of fun!
Have you ever thought of working out together, as a family? Yes, that includes your children. As I mentioned in one of my recent posts, Finding Time To Workout (Fitness & Health), my husband, kids and I workout in the morning. Why not? Motivation is the key to helping each other. There are no excuses [...]
Should you take a parent and baby swim class? There are so many questions on mommy and baby swim classes. How old do you have to be? How long are the classes? How to pack and is it worth it. I figured I’d make a post to answer all your questions about mommy and baby swim classes! What to know edition 😆. Ill start by saying, swim classes are definitely worth it!
Now more than ever, it is important to keep kids active and healthy. When COVID stopped our lives, we became couch potatoes. Just waiting for it to pass. Well, a year later, and we are still dealing with COVID. We must continue our lives in a SAFE way and keep a routine. How to keep kids active and healthy, you ask?
